Yoga Therapy

Kayko Watanabe, C-IAYT, RYT500

Yoga therapy is an emerging field in healthcare that perfectly complements Western medicine. In yoga therapy, we follow a holistic approach by considering the entire individual, including their body, energy, emotions, mind, and spirit.

We believe that all parts of a human being are interconnected and equally important in the healing process.

What can I expect during my 1-1 yoga therapy sessions?

In our session, I will assess your needs and design a care plan tailored to your specific requirements. I will also provide recommendations that will help you incorporate what you have learned and practiced into your daily life.

I use a variety of yogic tools such as postures and movements, breathwork, meditation, and other techniques to create a personalized care plan that addresses your health concerns, promotes healthy living, and improves your overall sense of well-being. My approach is highly customized, taking into account your unique challenges, abilities, lifestyle, and values.

Many of my clients find this experience empowering. If you are undergoing medical treatment or recovery, yoga therapy can complement the treatment you are receiving. Clinical studies suggest that yoga has a high success rate in exercise adherence, meaning that people tend to stick to the regimen. This is all great news!

“Kayko is a remarkable instructor. She's very kind, responsive, and attentive but also incredibly smart. I cannot imagine a better instructor. She's inspired me to take yoga seriously and to incorporate the program we developed into my daily life. I am already feeling the positive results and look forward to many additional benefits in the future.”

“So happy to have the pain [from plantar fascitis] gone and to know that simple stretches done regularly will keep the pain away. A huge gift! I've also been able to increase flexibility in my hamstrings and easily transition to tiptoes, which was difficult for me earlier in the year.”
